The Orchards Golf Club in Washington
The Orchards Golf Club in Oakland County is the metro Detroit area's tournament test everyone can play. Opened in 1993, the golf course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. and was a regular Buick Open qualifying site, as well as host to the 2002 U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship.
The golf course plays over 7,000 yards from the championship tees and sits on 525 scenic acres well away from metro Detroit. From the first tee, you can barely catch a glimpse of the Detroit skyline, while other holes play through dense woods and wetlands.
The Orchards Golf Club is home to a large clubhouse with a locker room, restaurant and pro shop. There is also a large practice facility with numerous putting and chipping greens.
