Original course at St. Ives Golf Club & Resort features scenic "pot and kettle" golf
STANWOOD, Mich. -- St. Ives Golf Club & Resort features two golf courses: Tullymore and the original St. Ives Golf Club, designed by Jerry Matthews and opened in the mid-90s.
The two courses contrast greatly. St. Ives features many elevated tees played to elevated greens. It's been nicknamed "pot and kettle" golf for the way holes start and end above the fairway.
It's very scenic at all corners, playing through thick forest. The last five holes play down low along wetlands and over water, most notably the par-3 16th, which plays to a shallow green with water all around.
St. Ives and Tullymore G.C. are both in great shape all year long and offer some of Michigan's best service in the clubhouse and on-site hotel.
