Hawk's Eye Golf Club in northern Michigan
Hawk's Eye Golf Club is one of seven golf courses in Bellaire, northern Michigan. It's also the newest, opening its full 18 holes built by architect John Robinson in 2004.
The course features wide fairways lined with tall pines, plenty of elevated tee shots and some greens heavily guarded by small ponds. It forgives the tee ball with wide fairways but greens are slick and undulating.
Hawk's Eye sits next to its older sister, The Chief, which it has surpassed it in popularity. In fact, its surpassed just about any area golf course in that field. It was recently rated among the five best courses by Michigan golfers polled by Michigan Golf Magazine.
Rates at Hawk's Eye peak out at $89 on summer weekends.
