LEWISTON, Mich. -- Garland Lodge and Resort in Lewiston is home to four championship golf courses that offer a unique challenge thanks to the diverse landscape of lakes, streams, mature trees and dramatic elevation changes that has made Michigan a popular golfing destination.
Both the Fountains Course and the Swampfire Course are known for their abundance of water.
The Fountains Course has fewer water hazards coming into play, but it is still a challenge with water on half of the holes. The Fountains is the newest course at the club, but it blends in seamlessly with the older courses.
The golf course features an interesting combination of six par 3s, par 4s and par 5s. The mature pines and hardwoods that line the fairways add another level of challenge. The gently sloping landscape also provides some tough up and downs.
