View of the 7th green. This is a very slender par 5 with Avery picturesque ending. The green is a little bumpy but hey, its December so whatever. Photo submitted by BuffaloBen15 on 01/05/2022

9th Green. Very slender par 5 off the tee but opens up after that. The green is bunker less and is two tiered with a big uphill jump to the back half and also slopes right to left. Photo submitted by BuffaloBen15 on 01/05/2022

A great sunset view of the old fashioned water wheel pump house on 17. Photo submitted by BuffaloBen15 on 01/05/2022

18th green. This hole is a super long par three at 222 yards. The green is small but flat with a big ridge in the back with a rare bunker beyond Photo submitted by BuffaloBen15 on 01/05/2022
Good For What It Is
Even though I don't recommend this course, I don't necessarily dislike it. I just think I'd rather play at Wesburn or Lakes of Taylor if I was in the area but those courses shut down regardless of weather for the winter months. This course does not. It is open year round weather permitting. Gotta love that. The clubhouse is just the cashier's desk at the restaurant and is operated by the restaurant staff. Not too serious of a joint, but the course itself is very interesting. There are no bunkers but a lot of water, and for it being December, with snow just melted, it wasn't too bad. There are dozens of small creeks, more like ditches or ravines really, that trap all the water. There are a few ponds as well that are on holes 4,5,6,11, and 17. The holes had some curvature to them with doglegs and the par fours and threes had enough variety in length. The tee boxes were okay. I did like how some were raised with wood walls, which gave nice charm. The grass was cut okay and you could discern the fairway and tees from the rough. The tee markers were very odd, as some holes they were different from one marker to the other, and sometimes not even the same color. There are only two tees here but still I'd like to see some new ones. Flags were ripped up a bit, but maybe they're just the ones they use in the winter. The yardage markers were clear, accurate, and well defined on both the cart path and the fairway. The greens themselves were pretty slow, but rolled oddly smoothly and true for how slow they were. It was somewhat easy to adjust to the speed in the way they had them set up. They had quite a bit of character to them, as well. Variable in size and shape and some had two or even three tiers. Again though, you can't expect a whole lot in December, you're just happy to be able to swing the sticks even at a crummy course. This course isn't crummy, but I wouldn't say its worth coming back to unless it's winter. I find some of the holes, such as number 5 and 15 very challenging and require a bit of course knowledge if you can't hit the ball a certain distance. Overall though, it would be a great place to play if you're just learning the game or are just someone who prefers more casual no dress code type golf.
