Great course with friendly staff
We temporarily relocated to Toledo, and I drive few miles to play at this wonderful course twice a week. Everyone on this course are so friendly and helpful. The workers helps me find my balls and usually comes by to say hello.
Neighborhood course
You’re not gonna be floored by any majestic views or exquisite fairways but MG does the trick.
The greens, in season, are usually quite nice and soft.
Drivable par 4’s are nice as most of the patrons aren’t pros and driving the green is a win for most.
Couple challenging par 5’s if you can’t keep to the fairway.
The par 3 course is a nice touch as well, although I find it to be quite challenging, more so than the main course even.
Too easy and has its flaws
Maple Grove is not good. Staff is strict about coolers and always checks them before being allowed to tee off. There is trash all over the course and the clientele do not help its brand.
Greens are very soft and overall in great condition; Hole one's green has a dirt patch on the back left. Fairways are narrow and guided by plenty of trees. The tee boxes are hard to find and loaded with crab grass. Par four's are a joke and good golfers can drive the green.
Won't be back at this course.
